GFD Engines 11 and 12

2002 Spartan Metrostar chassis and cab, body built by Ferrara Fire Apparatus in Holden, LA. These were the first two units purchased immediately following the creation of the professional City of Gonzales Fire Department. They were designed to be suitable for rescue-pumper operations and carry a vast array of equipment to handle virtually any emergency. The "through the tank" design allows for internal ladder storage and a clean look. Engine 11 serves as the first out engine on the north side of town and Engine 12 was re-commissioned as number 12 upon the arrival of the current Engine 10 and serves as our third out engine, stationed at 11.
